Sam practices Chicken Airplane Rocket

This morning Sam asked me if he had swim lessons today. I had to break the sad news to him that no, it was not for 6 more days. Next thing I know he's laying on the kitchen floor next to me (which is always freshly swept and mopped) practicing chicken, airplane, rocket, a skill he recently learned while backfloating in the pool. It was so cute I had to go get my camera and record it. At the end he adds a "rollover" too. Unfortunately the sound didn't come through, it's way cuter to hear him recite "chicken-aplane-WOCKET!" Thank you Coach Katie for making lessons so fun and skillful too!

This morning we got irrigation in our yard for the first time. The previous owners had cancelled the service and we have just been using the sprinklers, but it was time to step things up for our grass and trees. Jake looked out the window and comes sprinting to me across the house screaming, "MOMMMYYYYY, WE HAVE A LAKE IN OUR YARD!!!!" It was so cute. I could only resist them for so long, but 8:45 they were playing, splashing, running through and especially enjoyed pushing their dump trucks through. Jake also tried each of his sets of wheels on the water: the bike, the scooter, and even the poor skateboard!
